Programme Overview

SIDS recognizes that climate change and environmental degradation pose serious threats to the livelihoods, food security, and well-being of pastoral and cross-border communities. Frequent droughts, deforestation, land degradation, water scarcity, and changing weather patterns continue to affect vulnerable households in Amudat District and neighboring regions.

Through the Climate Change and Environmental Conservation Programme, SIDS works to strengthen community resilience, promote sustainable natural resource management, and support climate adaptation initiatives that protect the environment and improve livelihoods.
