Programme Overview

SIDS believes that education, child protection, and social inclusion are essential foundations for sustainable development and community transformation. Through this programme, we work to ensure that every child, young person, woman, and vulnerable individual has access to quality education, protection, and equal opportunities regardless of gender, disability, ethnicity, or social status.

Our interventions focus on increasing school enrolment and retention, protecting children from abuse and exploitation, promoting gender equality, empowering youth and women, and ensuring that marginalized groups actively participate in social and economic development.

Goal

To improve access to quality education, strengthen child protection systems, and promote social inclusion among vulnerable communities in Amudat District and the cross-border regions.

  • Increase access to quality and inclusive education for children and youth.
  • Promote child protection and safeguarding in homes, schools, and communities.
  • Empower women, girls, and youth through education and life-skills development.
  • Promote disability inclusion and equal opportunities for marginalized groups.
  • Strengthen community awareness of children’s rights and social protection.
  • Support vulnerable children to remain in school and complete their education.

We promote access to quality education by supporting schools, learners, and teachers to create safe and inclusive learning environments.
